Stertil Koni has developed bespoke adapters for use with its mobile column lifts to simplify and speed the repair of fork lift trucks.
SCC Services and Equipment Limited has invested in a pair of Stertil Koni ST1075FSF wireless mobile column lifts, complete with fork lift adapters, for use in its workshop at East Drayton, North Nottinghamshire. As an independent supplier of Yale and JCB materials handling equipment, SCC provides comprehensive rental, sales and service throughout Lincolnshire and North Nottinghamshire. SCC specified the special fork lift adapters to extend the versatility of the 7500kg capacity mobile column lifts and ensure total safety for the company's engineers when working on a wide range of three and four-wheeled fork lift trucks.
The adapter plates are used when access is required to the underside of raised trucks to carry out inspection and repair tasks. Providing a full lifting height of 1.85 metres in just 70 seconds, the Stertil Koni mobile column lifts eliminate the need for jacking equipment which can be both time consuming and inefficient. The lifts also remove the need for a costly inspection pit or a cumbersome fixed position ramp, both of which can raise concerns over safety of workshop personnel.
Tim Hilton, Managing Director of SCC Services and Equipment Ltd, is very pleased with the performance of the ST1075FSF column lifts and fork lift adapters. He says, "I visited an existing client of Stertil Koni in Cheshire and saw for myself the exceptional build quality and capability. I was also interested to hear what a difference the lifts had made to the efficiency of the company's operation. As a result, I decided to purchase the lifts and adapters, and can honestly say that I've been so impressed with them, that I'm now considering the purchase of another set in our next financial year."
