Worldwide leading experts in pneumatics, SMC, will be heading to Loughborough University from 12-13 October to take part in Cromwell's exhibition "The Event", showcasing a range of key products to help businesses cut costs and weather the continuing economic storm.
With rumours of a "double dip" recession refusing to disappear, businesses all over the UK are looking for ways to cut costs and maximise efficiencies, SMC and around 100 other exhibitors at The Event will be on hand to present innovative products and services to help UK manufacturers survive and thrive.
Amongst the solutions on display at stand C5, SMC will be showing their innovative ASQ/ASR speed controllers, which allow the return stroke of a pneumatically-operated cylinder to operate on a lower pressure than on the working stroke, cutting compressed air costs by up to 40 per cent.
"There are so many ways that compressed air users can cut costs, but some of them won't have been spotted, like using lower pressure on cylinder return strokes", said SMC's Product Promotions Manager Pete Humphreys. "Cromwell has given us the opportunity to be part of The Event and show some products to help manufacturers cut their overheads - hopefully we can help some of them to survive the economic pressures".
