Setting the trend in bump protection new First Base 3 Beanie and Winter from Scott Safety

In today's world of health and safety the demand for attractive, fashionable safety products is increasing and encouraging manufacturers to develop products that not only provide superior protection but also look good. In light of these demands Scott Safety has extended its range of First Base 3 bump caps to include two new styles; the First Base 3 Beanie and the First Base 3 Winter.

The two new additions to the First Base 3 range continue Scott Safety's pioneering approach to baseball style bump protection which is designed to provide protection against the effects of striking the head against hard, stationary objects that can cause lacerations and other superficial head injuries.

The First Base 3 Beanie has been designed to integrate the more fashionable element to protective headwear with an elasticated, knitted beanie cap covering the flexible protective shell, providing a universal fit for a wide range of head sizes. The Beanie is available in a choice of three different colours, navy, black and grey and the fleece lining and side panels ensure that workers can stay warm on the job.

As the cold wintry conditions continue the new First Base 3 Winter is fleece lined and waterproof, perfect for those working in both indoor and outdoor environments. The tented ventilation system helps to regulate air flow through the cap without allowing any water to leak through. The Winter is also available in three colours, navy, high visibility yellow and orange and includes 360 degree reflective strips that help increase the visibility of the worker.

Chris Ellerby, PPE Product Manager at Scott Safety, commented: 'In today's fashion conscious society, individuals are much more aware of their appearance, even when at work. With the new additions to the range of First Base 3 bump caps, we have extended the range of applications suitable for high performance bump protection and continued our drive towards an extended line of practical and attractive styles that users want to wear.'
