SDI Group will be exhibiting its latest technology at CeMAT - the major European materials handing and 'intralogistics' exhibition, which is being held at the Hanover Exhibition Centre on 19 - 23 May.
The spotlight will fall on SDI's latest automated handling technologies: principally the MonaLisa, the TTU and the PTU sorters. This will give visitors the opportunity to see the well-received MonaLisa, SDI's recently launched and highly innovative hanging pouch sortation system. It allows sortation of both hanging items and flat goods simultaneously, making it ideal for multichannel fashion retailers wishing to combine several elements of an order. High speed, sets the flexible MonaLisa sorting system apart, this speed advantage allows the user to send out both picked and returned product later in the picking window - which will particularly interest multichannel retailers.
The TTU (Tight-Turn Unit) has recently had a complete redesign, enabling it to be easily maintained by utilising a friction drive, thus removing the now outdated chain and sprocket drive. Sorting up to 8000 items per hour, the unit provides high speed, bomb bay / split tray sortation but can also use trays, should RFID technology be required.
Developed as a sortation solution for fragile products and lower speeds, the PTU (Push Tray Unit) can handle a broad array of types and sizes of products at the same time - textile apparel, accessories, shoes, books, jewellery, CDs/DVDs and boxes. With 8000 items per hour sortation performance, the unit allows an enhanced, faster and more accurate service to retail clients.
Prior to CEMAT, and closer to home, SDI Group will be at Internet Retailing EXPO, which is being held on 26-27 March at the NEC, Birmingham. This show is a key outlet for the fast growing ecommerce sector. SDI Group's automated technology provides solutions to increase speeds and reduce lead times enabling later order cut offs for online retailers.
Between these two shows, SDI Group will be exhibiting in France at Intralogistics Europe exhibition, which is being held at Paris Nord Villepointe on 1-4 April. This show brings together all handling equipment and automated systems which process and rationalise the physical movements of supply, production and distribution.
Gordon Smith, CEO of SDI Group, said: "These exhibitions are a vital part of business for us in order to continuously demonstrate new innovations, keep clients informed of our developments and to hear about their challenges and how our solutions can help them. We look forward to meeting you in Hanover, Paris or Birmingham."
