RWM success for Impact’s Fines Clean-Up System

Yet again, Impact received a phenomenal response to its waste separation and valuable material recovery solutions, by showcasing the Zigzag Classification unit (ZCU) at RWM 2015.

RWM has always proven to be a great forum to discuss our solutions with existing customers, trade partners and potential new clients, and this year was no exception.

With heightened interest on Loss on Ignition testing and operators starting to feel the pinch when it comes to their landfill tax bills, Impact’s ZCU was again received with welcome arms to those who need to further separate their fines, or find more recoverable from existing material streams adding value in an already tough market.

Interest for the ZCU technology remained high for processing MRF glass and C&D aggregate fines with several orders being concluded on the exhibition stand based on demonstrations of customers own samples. However, wider interest in processing materials including gypsum, plastics and wood based materials were also high.

Managing director, Nick Ball, commented on the company’s continuing success:

“It is extremely concerning to hear of the increasing tax bills that waste management operators are having to deal with due their waste being calorific. Therefore, we are proud to provide separation systems as a simple and effective way of ensuring that recyclable materials are recovered from waste before it ends in landfill.

RWM is the perfect platform to showcase the ZCU system, and for the second year running, it has been successfully received and extremely popular with operators and materials handling companies alike. When they learn of the cost savings possible and see the separation results first hand, it becomes a “no-brainer” decision for them to order a system.”

Impact is currently scheduling a large number of material separation trials for interested RWM visitors, so they can have their own material separated prior to investment.
