Red Funnel partners with island based logistics specialist to enhance parcel distribution service

Red Funnel is partnering with Acclaim Logistics, the Isle of Wight and Southampton based parcel delivery specialist, to offer a unique door to door distribution service to customers on both sides of the water.

Launching in April 2016, Acclaim’s new service will boast an impressive 20 vehicle crossings per day, facilitating same day delivery on the Island for any parcels received into their Southampton or Cowes Receiving Centres before noon.

What’s more, Island-based customers can now choose between the current Port-to-Port service and an enhanced door-to-door offering, negating the need to collect parcels from the West Cowes pickup point.

The rebooted service will ultimately operate extended hours, a Saturday service and provide options for larger, heavier and palletised freight.
