PHS Teacrate Acquires Rival Rentacrate in Multimillion Pound Deal

Britain's largest crate rental company PHS Teacrate has acquired its former rival Rentacrate in a multimillion pound deal which will almost double the size of the company. The move is the latest in a series of recent acquisitions and will reinforce Teacrate's position as market leader in the crate rental business.

The company will continue to trade as PHS Teacrate, but will introduce a new logo incorporating the Rentacrate brand.

Teacrate's managing director David Wicks was keen to reassure Rentacrate customers that there will be no disruption to service: "We've been working hard behind the scenes to make sure Rentacrate's customers are not inconvenienced in any way and that they continue to receive excellent service. By integrating the two largest crate rental companies in the UK we will be able to deliver an even better service. We already achieve service levels of 98.9% for next day delivery and with the extra resources of the Rentacrate network we'll be aiming for 100% across the whole country. No other company can offer that level of service."

Nick Burke and Simon Johns, the company's new commercial director and sales director will be looking to combine the strengths of both businesses, which will in turn offer customers the widest product range supported by an unparalleled service proposition. Nick comments, "We are delighted to have the Rentacrate brand and history as part of our group. These are exciting times for the business and we'll be enhancing our service to customers, not only in the removals industry, but across the food and retail sector where we have enjoyed rapid expansion over the last 18 months. This has been primarily due to our ability to react to seasonal demands, offering clients Returnable Transfer Packaging (RTP) managed solutions for their supply chain problems."
