Warehouse operators are being offered a new way to track racking damage, compliance and repairs in real time through a cloud-based platform launched by PD Industrial.
The Staffordshire-based industrial storage and warehouse solutions provider has developed THEIA, which it says is an industry-first portal designed to replace paper-heavy reporting and static spreadsheets with interactive digital mapping.
The platform converts warehouse layouts into live 2D maps, allowing managers to monitor racking conditions, identify damaged components and organise repairs across single or multiple sites.
PD Industrial said traditional inspection systems can contribute to delays in repairs, missed damage records and avoidable downtime, particularly where safety information is spread across paper reports and separate spreadsheets.
THEIA is designed to bring that information together in one place, giving warehouse managers and estate teams a bird’s-eye view of racking infrastructure with traffic-light status indicators showing areas that may require attention.
Inspectors can upload damage reports and high-resolution photographs directly to the cloud, giving duty holders immediate access to inspection findings rather than waiting for written reports to be completed.
The system can also generate configurable safety and outage alerts when critical rack damage is identified, helping operators isolate higher-risk areas and respond more quickly.
Repair management is built into the platform, allowing businesses to coordinate inspection-to-repair workflows, combine maintenance requirements across multiple sites and potentially reduce costs through centralised purchasing.
Historical inspection records can also be migrated into THEIA, creating a continuous digital audit trail intended to support health and safety compliance.

The portal is accessible through modern desktop web browsers and iOS devices and does not require software installation.
PD Industrial said the system has also been designed to require minimal staff training.
The company is offering live demonstrations of THEIA for logistics directors, health and safety leads and supply chain executives.
