Brighouse based Pass the Parcel, which is part of the APC Overnight network, delivered 150 gifts to 20 hospitals throughout the UK over the Christmas period.
Supporting the Laura Crane Trust with their Christmas Appeal, Pass the Parcel through the APC Overnight network delivered parcels as far apart as Southampton and Aberdeen.
The Christmas Appeal included initiatives to raise money to buy suitable gifts for teenagers in hospital. Tinsel Tuesday, Dress Up Posh days and other events captured the imagination of everyone from companies, organisations and the schools.
Pam Thornes, Fundraising Manager of the Laura Crane Trust said:" We have raised in excess of £11,000. So when the team at Pass the Parcel came forward and offered to take care of the delivery for us – we were absolutely thrilled."
Formed 18 years ago as a parcels company Pass the Parcel has continued to grow and develop its range of services in order to maintain its competitive edge. Enjoying growth levels of 20 % year on year, the company now provides a pallet service, warehousing and fulfilment service further reinforcing its position in the marketplace.
Handling over 200,000 parcels a year Pass the Parcel was one of the first companies to join the APC Overnight network when it was formed 12 years ago a move which it sees as being key to its continuing success.
Pass the Parcel Managing Director Jeremy Sutcliffe commented: "Our company are great supporters of the Trust. When we heard about their Christmas campaign and the reality of just how many young people will be in hospital for Christmas, it made us want to make sure that these youngsters received their gifts in time for Christmas day."
Pass the Parcel services the Brighouse, Huddersfield and Halifax regions. Employing a team of 30 staff the company also operates a fleet of 18 vehicles ranging from artics to 2.5 tonne vans. Additionally pursuing a continuous programme of investment, Pass the Parcel has recently refreshed its vehicle fleet with seven new vehicles and two trailers.
APC Overnight has 120 depots nationwide and handles nearly 10 million parcels annually.
