The Palletforce network is continuing to expand with the addition of leading transport firm Truswell Haulage.
Truswell Haulage, which was established more than a century ago, has joined the UK's leading palletised distribution network in April.
The company, which has its headquarters in Barnsley and operating sites in Sheffield and Douglas in Lanarkshire, has joined Palletforce after a long relationship with a competitor.
"Due to the dedication of our 'hands on' management team and workforce, the business continues to hold its own during the difficult trading circumstances that currently exist in the UK," said Joint Managing Director Ian Truswell.
"As part of the measures taken to further improve customer service we have totally reviewed our pallet distribution operations and decided that Palletforce is a forward thinking and quality driven organisation which best suits our needs.
"The Truswell brand is renowned for reliability, quality of service and good value and we remain dedicated to servicing the requirements of all our customers and fellow members of Palletforce for many years to come."
Truswell Haulage currently operates a diverse fleet of around 80 trucks and has a wide-ranging client base which sees them moving everything from heavy haulage plant and machinery to plastic goods.
Truswell also offer vehicle repair workshops, warehousing and storage and operate their own highly regarded driver training school.
As a member of Palletforce they will be joining a network of almost 100 of the UK's top transport companies and will have access to the £30 million central distribution hub in Burton-upon-Trent.
"Truswell Haulage is a well-established, highly experienced firm that puts quality at the heart of everything it does, which is why we are delighted to welcome them to the Palletforce family," said Palletforce Chief Executive Michael Conroy.
