OWL is recognised as a flying success at PAWRS

Exhibiting as the OWL partnership in a dedicated OWL innovation zone, the leading telematics provider collaborated with Vision Techniques and Vehicle Weighing Solutions to showcase Optimised Waste Logistics, OWL. The innovative solution set to transform the waste management sector, was acclaimed by key industry figures in attendance for its comprehensive approach, and went on to win the award for Waste Product of the Year.

OWL supports the waste management sector by providing a single platform web portal from which the partners' complementary waste collection tools can all be accessed. While CMS SupaTrak offers telematics, Vision Techniques provides vehicle safety and security solutions, and Vehicle Weighing Solutions specialises in onboard weighing and axle load protection. This alliance helps to maximise fleet operational efficiency and significantly reduces the administration time often spent working on multiple interfaces. Additionally, the tools encourage health and safety compliance and promote reduction in vehicle downtime and vehicle maintenance costs.

Also on show at the event was a new product from CMS SupaTrak: EcoTyre - a real time tyre pressure monitoring and reporting solution, integrated with the telematics solutions delivered by CMS SupaTrak

Reflecting on the success at the show Jason Airey, managing director of CMS SupaTrak said, "We were delighted to be awarded Waste Product of the Year at the Awards Ceremony. Recognition for our unique joined up solution is a great achievement and we hope OWL will continue to develop and provide our customers with the solutions they require. This is the second year we have attended the event in Torbay and we intend to continue to support it."

Steve Hopper of South Hams Hawks and Owls, joined CMS SupaTrak at the event and provided a display of owls throughout the event, which drew in quite an audience.

In continuing support for the Hawk Conservancy, based in Andover, Hampshire, the OWL Innovation One raised over £500 through donations collected at the hog roast lunches, served daily.

Jason Airey continued: "The OWL Innovation Zone proved very successful at PAWRS. All visitors enjoyed our live owl display and lunchtime at the hog roast was very busy indeed."
