Optimised Waste Logistics (OWL), the waste management initiative set up to provide operators and local authorities with a "joined up" waste collection solution, has announced its next regional road show.
Following the success of the 2012 event in Cardiff Bay, OWL will once again host local authorities and operators for a day of industry networking, best practice seminars plus an indoor and outdoor exhibition.
Supported by CIWM, the first event of 2013 will be hosted on Tuesday 19th March at the Bull Hotel in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Confirmed exhibitors include CMS SupaTrak, Vision Techniques, Civica, Whitespace Work Software, Route Monkey, MOBA, Geesink Norba and Collett Transport Services.
Industry speakers will discuss issues facing waste management operators and the role new technologies such as telematics, on board weighing, live CCTV, route optimisation and scheduling play in improving the operational efficiency of fleet management.
