A conference topic titled 'Overview of Worldwide Deepsea Ro-Ro Trades' will be presented by Dirk Visser, Shipping Consultant and Managing Editor, DynaLiners, Dynamar B.V., at RORO 2014, which takes place at ExCel in London, from 24-26 June.
Dirk Visser will present a recent study of the deepsea RoRo industry, titled 'Deepsea Ro/Ro Shipping - Operators, Ships & Trades'.
"This publication is a unique report on two different types of ships -Conventional Ro/Ro vessels, and Vehicle Carriers" says Dirk Visser. "What these have in common is that they would not be what they are without a ramp. Interestingly, while one is bound to contract, the other is in the expansion mode."
Among many features covered, the report offers an introduction to RoRo shipping, carrier profiles (corporate background and history, markets and trade lanes, RoRo fleet data) on the 15 largest operators in each segment, extensive fleet analysis, trades and ports served, commodities carried and the car market.
The RORO conference session will look at the main operators active in conventional RoRo and vehicle carrier segments, including the top 10 Conventional RoRo and the Top 10 Vehicle Carrier Operators.
"This study will complement some of the other main issues covered during RORO 2014, which usually include more of a focus on the shortsea element" says Dirk Visser. "It would be particularly useful for managers and partners interested in RoRo industry operations for the shortsea industry to attend this conference session, to help broaden their horizons about deepsea industry. And some operators are active in both."
Dynamar was founded in 1981 by a number of managers from the maritime industry, in response to a growing demand for credit and marketing reports in the maritime sector.
RORO 2014 is the only exhibition and conference dedicated to the roll-on/roll-off shipping industry. For further information about RORO, to register, exhibit or speak at the event, visit www.roroex.com or contact Sophie Ahmed on +44 (0)20 7017 5112.
