Following a recent audit, Novadata has received the highest praise for their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training from the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT).
Novadata, having forged a reputation for being at the forefront of transport training for over 20 years, has taken an industry lead with the Driver CPC. One of the first training organisations to receive JAUPT approval and accreditation for delivering the new qualification, Novadata premiered Europe's very first course in September 2008. Since that milestone, over 2,000 drivers have undertaken their Driver CPC training at Novadata.
The audit report stated: "Novadata is a high profile and well established training provider, respected within the industry for delivering sound, quality training programmes. They have robust systems in place for monitoring quality procedures and practices. Always looking for new and innovative ideas to be ahead of the rest, they have a clear agenda on how the Driver CPC should be delivered and actively encourage their delegates to be professional."
Novadata's managing director, Derek Broomfield, who has a background in transport stretching back 35 years, was especially singled out as: "…a professional trainer with a wealth of experience, instantly adapting his training style to meet drivers' needs. I like how he explained the rationale of the CPC and that he was coaching them as opposed to teaching them".

Novadata provides Driver CPC training for both the freight and passenger sectors and offers a choice of over 150 hours of Driver CPC options. Content covers safe and fuel efficient driving, legal requirements, health and safety, service and logistics. The courses involve no written work or examination. Training is also available on Saturdays and Sundays.
Driver CPC was introduced across the EU to maintain high driving standards and improve road safety. The legislation requires all professional bus, coach and lorry drivers to complete a minimum of 35 hours periodic training every five years for as long as they wish to pursue a driving career. For those who have not yet started their periodic training, the time left is just under three years for coach drivers and four years for lorry drivers.
Broomfield concludes: "There is no advantage in delaying periodic training.
