Norbert Dentressangle constructs delivery solution for Timloc Building Products

Norbert Dentressangle has been appointed by Timloc Building Products to provide a daily collection and delivery service under a new two-year agreement that has the scope to accommodate growing customer demand.

Established in 1968, Timloc is a leading UK manufacturer and distributor of building products, including access panels, loft access doors, cavity trays, background ventilation and cavity closer solutions. The company is a member of the Alumasc Group plc, a high specification engineering and building products group.

Timloc's core range of products is manufactured at its site in Goole, East Yorkshire, from where Norbert Dentressangle's Euro V fleet of fuel efficient trucks, using curtain sided trailers, collect loads on a day one basis for day two delivery. The ability to provide a low carbon footprint solution and minimise CO2 emissions through effective route planning was part of Timloc's requirement.

Using a combination of its shared user and dedicated network operations as required, Norbert Dentressangle distributes orders to a wide range of builders merchants, as well as making direct deliveries to construction project sites across the UK.

Mal Jordan, Logistics & Standards Manager at Timloc Building Products, said: "We appointed Norbert Dentressangle as the company can provide a flexible distribution service that represented good value for money and included an improved IT solution, which allowed us to process and track orders more effectively.

"With our continued investment to extend our product range and expand into new areas, as we respond to customer demand, Norbert Dentressangle has ability to accommodate our growth and provide a consistent customer service."
