SSI Schaefer has started the New Year in style by completely re-designing its Solutions Centre at its UK headquarters in Andover, Hampshire, as a result of increased customer demand.
Natural light fills the Solutions Centre which has been given a thorough over-haul and now offers a contemporary style venue for customers to view, touch and try-out the full product offering from SSI Schaefer.
Schaefer's innovative Solutions Centre clearly demonstrates the perfect design integration of its systems, from the storage and stock presentation for order picking, to the transport and distribution of products. Bob Jane, Business Development Manager, said: "The Solutions Centre offers customers the opportunity to see behind the scenes of a potential supplier but more importantly how SSI Schaefer uses its integrated systems to solve all materials handling problems.

A large AV display system and meeting table facility has been installed dedicated to 'on-site design' in order for customers and Schaefer Specialists to effectively work together on a variety of storage and materials handling design problems and solutions. SSI Schaefer's ISO 9000 standard includes Design, a unique feature within the storage and materials handling industry.
The Solutions Centre features a number of automated products including a mini-load rack and a working two-level case conveyor. Order Picking and Dispensing technology units are planned for the future.
Standard products on display include ranges of Shelving and Racking systems, Live Storage and On Line stock presentation systems, Mezzanine flooring including fire-protection and lighting system options and a selection of partitioning systems in composite and steel.
SSI Schaefer's wide range of compatible plastic containers for storage, transport, distribution and automation are also on display alongside engineering workshop equipment.
