The material handling specialist delivered six console cranes and 12 KBK workstation lifting systems
Konecranes has completed the installation of 18 electric chain hoists and multiple workstation lifting systems for a major Spanish façade manufacturer, strengthening production capacity at its LalĂn facility.
The material handling specialist delivered six console cranes and 12 KBK workstation lifting systems equipped with 18 D-Series electric chain hoists to INASUS, a European producer of specialist building façades.
The order was booked in February 2025, with delivery and installation finalised in August at the company’s production site in north-west Spain.
The new cranes are designed to help INASUS handle, move and position large glass panels throughout manufacturing and installation.
Konecranes said the modular KBK workstation lifting systems offer flexibility along production lines, allowing equipment to be positioned precisely where required and adapted to evolving workflow demands.
Alberto Cuiña, chief executive of INASUS, praised the project delivery.
“We sincerely appreciate the outstanding work delivered during the sale and installation of the overhead cranes at our facilities,” he said.
He highlighted the team’s professionalism, adherence to deadlines and the quality of both the equipment and installation, describing the outcome as “an excellent result”.
“It has been a pleasure working with a company that demonstrates such commitment and professionalism, while adapting seamlessly to the requirements of a customer as demanding as INASUS,” he added.
Jorge Monteiro, sales director for industrial services and equipment at Konecranes Spain and Portugal, said the D-Series hoists provide the accuracy required for handling delicate materials.
“The D series electric chain hoists deliver the precise lifting and positioning capabilities essential for safe handling of glass panels, helping INASUS maintain the highest product quality standards,” he said.
He added that the combined solution reduces manual handling risks and helps ensure the production process remains efficient and safe.
Konecranes said its wider strategy continues to focus on digitalisation, technology investment and improving material flows, with an emphasis on supporting decarbonisation, circularity and workplace safety.
