Jason Peel has joined Leeds-based Siemens Mechanical Drives as UK sales manager.
He joins the Mechanical Drives business, having spent seven years working for Siemens Industry Automation & Drives Technologies, originally looking after the North West region, and latterly looking after key accounts such as United Utilities and Scottish Water.
Jason's experience will help develop the continuing integration of Mechanical Drives into the Siemens drive train offer in the UK. He will continue to work with all Siemens Industry products and systems, and all routes to market, along with Siemens distributors and channel partners.
"I'll be helping to further synchronise the Mechanical Drives portfolio within the wider Siemens Industry organisation, and refocusing on the approach to the different markets," said Jason of his new role.
General manager at Siemens Mechanical Drives, Simon Nadin commented: "Jason's appointment will bring a step change in our strategy for growth in key markets. His experience of the electronics side of the business will enable us to further underpin our sales support in the drive train area. He brings a wealth of experience from both inside and outside Siemens."
Siemens Mechanical Drives is part of Siemens Industry, and a significant UK manufacturing division of Siemens, operating in energy and renewables, transport, heavy industry and control systems.
