Andrew Randall has taken up the new post of marketing communications manager at Habasit Rossi Ltd, a worldwide market leader in the conveyor belting sector.
The appointment of Mr Randall is part of major marketing development plans which were rolled out at the beginning of the year, to confirm the Silsden-based company's position as a market leader.
He has a broad range of experience in project and campaign management and will be responsible for implementing Habasit Rossi's 2008 growth strategies whilst increasing the company's profile within its target sectors.
This will be achieved by increasing the understanding of the company's product range by breaking down its larger market areas into smaller target sectors in order to generate more targeted sales leads.
Having previously worked for an electrical installation engineering company, The Lowe Group, and for 11th Hour Marketing, Mr Randall has an impressive depth of knowledge in strategy and communication.
He commented: "The diversity of the employees at Habasit Rossi provides an incredible support system for the 2008 projects as everyone is enthusiastic about driving the company forward.
"With such a dynamic board of directors for me to work with it opens up a lot more scope for new ideas to be raised, - making an already strong brand even stronger."
Working alongside the sales and marketing director Ian Thornham, who has over 20 years of experience within the field, Mr Randall has no doubt that they will be able to develop company growth, ensuring that more customers benefit from the products and services Habasit Rossi offers.
Mr Randall summed up the new position: "I am very excited about the opportunity that I have been given and I am looking forward to implementing new strategies and seeing the company go from strength to strength."
Habasit Rossi Limited was formed following the joining together of the successful companies of Habasit UK Limited and Rossi Gearmotors Ltd earlier this year.
The UK Habasit division of the company is based in Silsden near Keighley and is the market leader in lightweight conveyor belting. The Habasit product range includes fabric conveyor and processing belts, plastic modular belting, power transmission belts, machine tapes, seamless belts, round belts, timing belts and accessories. Customers sectors covered include food, print & paper, postal, wood, materials handling and airports.
The UK Rossi division offers a complementary range of gearmotors and gear reducers, which it has marketed in the UK and Ireland for over 25 years. The division is based in Exhall, Coventry and employs an experienced strong technical direct sales team, an internal sales support team and engineers. The Rossi division has had significant success in a wide range of applications and markets, such as conveyors, mixers & agitators, leisure rides, quarrying, machine tools, food processing automotives, cooling towers, the cement industry and numerous related sectors.
