PALLET LICENSEE IS LEADER AS THE UK'S FIRST CARBON NEUTRAL COURIER COMPANY. A licensee with a unique difference is the latest addition to the expanding Fortec Pallet Distribution Network.
For Slough-based Elite Worldwide is the UK's first Carbon Neutral and environmentally friendly courier company, combating CO2 emissions through supporting alternative energy and tree planting programmes to develop forests within this country. Indeed since May 2005 Elite has planted over 1000 trees, totally offsetting its annual carbon emissions.
Fortec's newest licensee will handle the SL (Slough) and UB (Uxbridge) postcode areas, which delights Managing Director Mark Dean who said that the company had previously worked with another pallet network handling a West London postcode.
"We were delighted to be given the opportunity to handle postcodes in our own local area. The Slough and Uxbridge postcodes are absolutely perfect for us, and represent a huge opportunity for our business" he said.
Mark Dean first targeted Fortec as a potential pallet network partner for his business having heard positive feedback from other licensees and because he was aware of the network's service reputation.
"We have only been part of the network for a short time but first impressions are excellent. We have experienced no problems with delivery and we have been delighted with the sales and marketing support from Fortec," he said.
Formed in 1989, Elite has expanded over the years to today's workforce of 30 staff with over 25 of its own vehicles.
