New East Anglian depot for FUCHS Lubricants

New East Anglian depot for FUCHS Lubricants

FUCHS Lubricants has extended its UK presence by launching a new depot in East Anglia.

FUCHS took on the depot in Dereham as part of its acquisition of the Batoyle Freedom group to add to its UK head office in Stoke-on-Trent.

FUCHS, the largest independent lubricant manufacturer in the world, elected to keep the depot open to continue local supply to former Batoyle customers and FUCHS customers based in the region.

The depot has been revamped over the last six months and now has a trade counter so that customers can collect their required lubricants.

The depot also means that FUCHS can offer next day delivery to customers in the East Anglia area.

Andy Bett, Regional Automotive Manager at FUCHS, said: “This is a strategic move which will help us to offer a better level of service to our customers, old and new, in that area of the country.

“East Anglia is a very agricultural area and many people we’ll be serving will be from that sector. We have a strong reputation within the farming community and this will further enhance that.

“We will also have a full range of products available from the depot, including lubricants for commercial vehicles, passenger cars and industrial purposes.

“The potential in East Anglia is tremendous and we’re looking to capitalise on that.”

FUCHS has appointed Helen Franklin as depot manager, Paul Sayer as salesman for the area and has three drivers operating from Dereham.

So successful is the depot, that FUCHS is looking to replace the existing vans operating from Dereham to increase carry capacity, said Andy.

To demonstrate its commitment to East Anglia, FUCHS will again be exhibiting at the Royal Norfolk Show 29th/30th June, located on Avenue 11, stand 395.
