ParcelHeroās #Mumblesale eBay jumble sale has raised over Ā£500 for Great Ormond Street childrenās hospital - thanks to the generosity of mums, retailers and manufacturers across the UK.
Mums (and dads!) from all over Britain took part in #Mumblesale - a giant online jumble sale ā and helped raise over Ā£500 for Great Ormond Street Hospital (G.O.S.H.): the world-famous childrenāsā paediatric hospital and research centre based in London.
#Mumblesaleās organizer, the international courier ParcelHero, was overwhelmed by the generosity of both parents and the many companies producing childrenās products who donated items.
Says ParcelHeroās Head of Consumer Research, David Jinks: āWeād like to say a huge Thank-you to everyone who helped with the success of #Mumblesale. ParcelHero is proud to be an official Corporate Partner of Great Ormond Street Hospital, and all the money raised will go straight to G.O.S.Hās exciting projects: such as Phase 2 of its rebuild programme and vital research into childrenāsā diseases.ā
Adds David: ā#Mumblesale received many stunning items for auction from both companies and well known bloggers. Particular thanks go to Amaia Kid, The Book People, Bugaboo, GAP Kids, Honest Mum, Igloo kids, Loud Apparel, Mattel, Playmobil, VTech and Wee Ride UK. And to those many parents who successfully bid to buy all the wonderful childrenās toys and clothes.ā
Vicki, well-known writer of the popular blog Honest Mum, was one of the first people to donate new and nearly-new items to the raffle. She explains: āThe work Great Ormond Street do to treat and support children, and their families, is invaluable and it was wonderful to be part of the fundraisingā; while Serena from Loud Apparel adds: āIt has been such a good experience to contribute to the campaign.ā
