There's a new name for Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in North Lincolnshire and East and North Yorkshire - Northside Truck & Van.
Already a highly successful Mercedes-Benz dealer, Northside continues to represent the manufacturer in West and South Yorkshire, where it has been serving truck and van operators since the 1970s.
Now, following the decision of Mercedes-Benz to extend its franchise area of responsibility, Northside has purchased the previous franchisee's premises at Henry Boot Way, on Hull's Priory Park trading estate.
It has also agreed terms to redevelop the outgoing dealer's former headquarters on Humber Road, South Killingholme - in the meantime it is supporting locally-based customers from a temporary home at Lancaster Approach, North Killingholme.
In York, Northside has constructed a new dealership in a former industrial unit close to the city's northern ring road, at Atlas Road, Clifton Moor, which opened for business on Monday 26 March.
Northside Truck & Van also has depots in Bradford, Doncaster, Leeds and Sheffield, at which it sells and supports the award-winning family of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles, as well as the popular Fuso Canter light truck range.
It has been owned since 2005 by Lanarkshire-based SAH Ltd and under the leadership of Managing Director Tim Ward, and Chairman Fergus Leitch has become one of Britain's top-performing commercial vehicle dealers.

In 2007 Northside won the Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealer of the Year title, an achievement it surpassed shortly afterwards by beating competitors representing rival brands to land the industry's most prestigious award, for Motor Transport Dealer of the Year.
