MAN expands Executive Board

The Supervisory Board of MAN SE has appointed Ulf Berkenhagen (51) to the Executive Board as of September 1, 2012, and Jochen Schumm (64) as of July 1, 2012. Berkenhagen, currently on the Board of Management of Audi AG, will assume the newly created function of Chief Purchasing Officer at MAN SE and at its subsidiary MAN Truck & Bus AG. Jochen Schumm, previously General Representative for Human Resources at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, will now be responsible for human resources on the Executive Board of MAN SE and the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus AG. Chief Human Resources Officer Jörg Schwitalla (51) leaves the Executive Board of MAN SE and will now assume an advisory role within the Volkswagen Group. The Supervisory Board of MAN SE had already extended the contract of Chief Financial Officer Frank H. Lutz (43) on April 20, 2012, by an additional five years until December 31, 2017.


Dr. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen (56), Chief Executive Officer of MAN SE, will be taking on additional duties as a member of the Volkswagen Group Management in a function that will see him coordinate the industrial business with engines throughout the Group. Pachta-Reyhofen will switch to the Supervisory Board of the MAN subsidiary MAN Truck & Bus AG as of September 1, 2012, and will therefore be handing over his Executive Board function there.

The Supervisory Board has appointed Anders Nielsen as the successor for the Chief Executive Officer role at MAN Truck & Bus AG as of September 1, 2012. The 49-year-old Swede is currently on the Executive Board of Scania AB and responsible for production and logistics. Under the chairmanship of Rupert Stadler (49), Chief Executive Officer of Audi AG, Leif Östling (66) - future member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG responsible for commercial vehicle activities - will join the Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus AG.
