Maidens Transport join palletised distribution network Palletforce

One of Telford's largest transport companies has joined forces with the award-winning Palletforce network.

Maiden's of Telford is the latest company to join the UK's leading palletised distribution network and will officially start on November 1.

The partnership is a major step forward for the fourth generation family business which has taken on six new employees as a result of joining the network.

As a shareholder member of Palletforce, Maiden's of Telford will be joining forces with 86 of the UK's top transport firms and will be able to access the network's high tech facilities, including its central £30 million hub which was opened by HRH The Princess Royal.

John Maiden, Managing Director, said: "We've looked at a number of pallet networks and have been approached by a few in the past but we liked Palletforce purely and simply because we're able to take a sharehold in the business.

"The network is owned by the people who form the business so they are committed to ensuring its success.

"We also looked at the hauliers who are already part of Palletforce and recognised a lot of them as being A-list."

Maiden's of Telford, who recently moved premises to Donnington Wood Business Park, run a fleet of 55 commercial vehicles with 120 trailers.

Since it was established in 1931 the company has built up a reputation for building relationships with clients by providing high quality customer service with the personal touch.

Joining Palletforce will further cement this reputation as only the country's best companies are invited to join the network.

John added: "Joining Palletforce will complement the total transport solution programme that we have at the moment and will help us to expand that side of the business."

Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce, said: "We are very pleased to welcome one of Telford's largest and most reputable companies to the network.

"Maiden's of Telford has many years of experience in the industry and will be able to take their service to the next level now they have joined our network."
