With a remit to further develop the successful Storage Direct catalogue and e-commerce business, Lynton Buxton has been appointed as Sales and Marketing Manager for Storage Direct.
Commenting on his role Buxton says, "Joining Storage Direct gives me the opportunity to use my industry experience of over 20 years to proactively grow the business. Storage Direct already offers a tremendous service that is both professional and personal whether the order being placed is for a single workbench or an entire storage and handling project.
"I believe that there is potential to increase our distributor network and provide further support for Storage Direct via a strategic marketing campaign to both existing and new markets. There is also scope to make our online facilities the best in the business, making local ordering a simple, fast procedure.
"Our initial strategy will culminate in a new, re-formatted catalogue that will be launched in February 2007 together with the development of an enhanced website. Storage Direct will continue to showcase over 4,000 quality products which are all dedicated to the storage and handling industry; one of the largest collections available from a single source."
Buxton prides himself on being a brand champion and he is committed to making the Storage Direct brand synonymous with the maxim 'delivering storage solutions direct to your door'.
A graduate of the Cranfield Institute of Technology, Buxton holds a Masters Degree in Distribution Technology and Management. He was recruited by LINPAC working in conjunction with Storey Huish Resourcing Ltd, the Leeds based specialist search and selection consultancy to the storage and handling industry.
