LTS adds 17,000 pallet spaces in £500,000 warehouse expansion

The Hams Hall project has increased total warehouse capacity to around 27,000 pallets

LTS Global Solutions has more than doubled pallet capacity at its Hams Hall warehouse after completing a ÂŁ500,000 expansion.

The logistics company has installed racking for a further 17,000 pallets at the 130,000 sq ft facility in Coleshill.

Total capacity has increased from about 10,000 pallet spaces to approximately 27,000.

The investment is intended to meet rising demand from existing customers and support a series of recent contract wins.

LTS said the additional space would allow it to offer more flexible and scalable storage while strengthening its nationwide distribution operation.

The Hams Hall site supports the company’s wider logistics services, including warehousing, transport, freight forwarding and value-added supply-chain work.

LTS is currently running 14% ahead of last year’s performance, with continued growth reported across its logistics division.

The expansion forms part of a long-term strategy targeting annual revenue of more than ÂŁ23 million by 2030.

The company plans to pursue that target through further investment in infrastructure, technology and customer service.

Alongside the racking project, LTS has acquired an additional Linde Very Narrow Aisle forklift.

The truck will help staff use the expanded storage space efficiently as activity at the warehouse increases.

Managing director Dave Hands said: “We are delighted that the racking expansion at our site in Coleshill is finally complete.”

He said the investment would give the business room to support customers as their storage and distribution requirements grow.

“The project has been many months in the making but to see it finally come to fruition is hugely exciting as the opportunity it brings us as a business to scale is nothing short of significant.”

“Not only does the additional capacity allow us to support our existing customers as they grow, but it also ensures that we have the infrastructure in place to cater to new clients and respond quickly to increasing demand.”

Mr Hands said the company had chosen to invest before the warehouse reached its previous limits.

“We've experienced steady growth across the business over the past 12 months, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to staying ahead of that, rather than reacting to it.”

He added that the larger warehouse operation and new equipment would strengthen the company’s ability to provide flexible storage and logistics services.

“By expanding our warehousing capabilities and investing in new equipment, we're strengthening our ability to deliver the flexible, reliable and scalable logistics solutions our customers rely on, and that we’re known for.”

LTS expects the new capacity to help it compete for further contracts while accommodating growth among its existing customer base.

Mr Hands said: “We see this project as a sizeable leaps towards our pending growth plans, and with demand for our services continuing to increase over this past year, it conveniently puts us in a strong position to capitalise on new opportunities as they come about over the coming months and years.”
