Logistics service providers Kewill announce contract with Miller Brands

Kewill (LSE: KWL), a leading provider of solutions that simplify global trade and logistics, today announced it has signed a three year contract with Miller Brands, a UK subsidiary of SABMiller, one of the world's largest brewers, to fully manage and support electronic communications with its network of trading partners.

The project will see Kewill deploy its Kewill MessageBroker integration as a service (IaaS) software together with its Kewill Xchange managed file transfer service, to create an integrated trading partner communications platform for Miller Brands, which is responsible for the development of all SABMiller's international premium brands across the UK and Ireland. Kewill will provide extensive Professional Services to manage the transition for trading partners from the existing system, and full management and support going forward.

The solution will enable Miller Brands to trade electronically with its network of trading partners, who include Booker, JD Wetherspoon, Morrisons, Tesco & Sainsbury's, using one simple interface to exchange supply chain documentation such as orders, advanced shipping notices and invoices in each partner's preferred protocol. It will integrate directly with Miller Brands' existing SAP ERP system, improving efficiency by allowing the straight-through processing of all relevant data.

Steve Higgs, Technology and Process Manager at Miller Brands comments "The Kewill solution will enable us to streamline communications with our trading partners, introducing significant resource efficiencies but more importantly, giving us greater visibility of our supply chain. Kewill's drinks sector experience made them the obvious choice."

Jacquie Boast, Kewill's European Chief Operating Officer added "By choosing Kewill, Miller Brands are implementing a tried and tested supply chain solution. Our experience of delivering major ecommerce projects within the sector will not only ensure a smooth implementation, but also deliver rapid returns on their initial investment."
