Logistics recruiter Transline Resource win top award at Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2010

Yorkshire logistics recruiter scoops top award

At the prestigious Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2010, Halifax-based Transline-Resource secured the mantle - Best Industrial Recruitment Agency of the year - to the elation of its employees in attendance.

Organised by 'The Recruiter' magazine and held at the Grosvenor Hotel on London's Park Lane, the 'Innovate CV' sponsored awards recognise innovation and best practice in the various sectors of the recruitment industry.

Transline-Resource was one of four shortlisted finalists in the Industrial category alongside competitors Staffline, Driver Hire and Top Gear recruitment.

Over 1000 people attended the Awards ceremony hosted by comedian Jason Manford and judged by a panel of experienced recruitment professionals and industry heavyweights. After a hilarious stand-up routine, Manford announced the winners in each of the 27 categories reaching the industrial award just before the interval.

"It was a nervous wait," said Joint Managing Director Paul Beasley. "With the year we've had we thought we were in with a remote chance. When we weren't called out as runners up the excitement built and the table positively erupted when they announced us as winners. It was a fantastic feeling."

The strategy behind the company's success is simple and robust: to develop relationships with all its key clients and provide them with an unrivalled service of labour provision and monitoring.

In 2009 this approach resulted in a 50% increased turnover from £16.9m to £25.4m, 300% increased profits to £1m, 30 new contracts with some of the country's biggest household name retailers and distributors, and the official opening of its superb Training Team at its North West HQ in Trafford Park, Manchester.

"This really is a fantastic achievement and a great tribute to everyone working for the company," added Paul Beasley. "It illustrates our attractiveness as an employer and the extent to which we invest in our people and bring them on."

Fellow Managing Director Jon Taylor said: "This award recognises the hard work everyone has put in over the past year. In a period when the sector suffered financially we posted our most successful year yet and that is testament to our talented staff and their commitment to our core principles and standards of service."

Director, Mark Elms added: "In 2010 we aim to build on this success with more new contracts and further investment in our Training Team. Having seen what can be achieved through hard work and determination we will continue to strive for excellence and the accolades that come with it."
