The logistics giant is introducing a single Culina identity across its transport, warehousing and food distribution operations
Some of Britain's best-known logistics businesses, including Stobart, Fowler Welch and Great Bear, are being brought together under a single Culina brand in a major restructuring of the group's identity.
The move will see Culina Group and several of its subsidiaries adopt one unified identity, bringing together operations spanning food distribution, warehousing, transport, contract packing and international logistics.
Businesses transitioning to the Culina name include Culina Logistics, IPS, Stobart, Great Bear, Fowler Welch, Warrens, CML, Stobart Europe, IRF and iForce.
The company says the transformation will make it easier for customers to access services across its network, while strengthening collaboration between its specialist operations.
Culina, which describes itself as the UK's largest privately owned logistics and supply chain partner, has expanded over the years through acquisitions and organic growth.
Under the new structure, the business will operate through five divisions: Chilled & Fresh Logistics, Contract Logistics, Transport Logistics, Integrated Packing Services and International Logistics.
Each division will maintain its specialist capabilities while operating under the wider Culina identity, with the aim of providing more integrated supply chain services.
The changes are particularly relevant to the food and drink sector, where chilled distribution, transport and specialist packing play important roles in getting products to retailers and consumers.
Culina Chief Executive Liam McElroy described the announcement as a significant milestone for the business.
He said: “This is a landmark moment for Culina and a defining milestone in our journey as a business.”
The restructuring is intended to simplify access to Culina's range of logistics services, allowing customers to work with a single organisation across different areas of their supply chains.
Mr McElroy said: “For our customers, this creates a simpler, stronger, and more connected experience, providing seamless access to our end-to-end capabilities through one trusted partner.”
Despite the wider rebrand, some specialist businesses will retain their existing identities, including The Pallet Network, Stobart EU Automotive and Eventor.
Culina has also confirmed that its 15,000 employees will play a central role in delivering the changes across the business.
“Our 15,000 colleagues are at the heart of this transformation,” Mr McElroy said.
As a privately owned company, Culina says it remains focused on long-term growth through investment in infrastructure, technology and customer partnerships.
The group believes bringing its operations under one name will strengthen its ability to respond to changing customer requirements while maintaining the specialist expertise developed by its individual businesses.
The transition will take place gradually, with the Culina identity becoming increasingly visible across company sites, vehicles, digital platforms and communications.
Mr McElroy said the changes would build on the group's existing capabilities and support its ambitions for further growth.
“Together, we are creating a stronger platform for sustainable growth and reinforcing our position as the UK's leading privately owned logistics and supply chain partner.”
