Logistics firm Keystone Distribution voted runner-up in employer of the year award

Leading logistics firm Keystone Distribution UK has beaten hundreds of companies from a variety of industries to be awarded runner-up in the employer of the year category at the Executive PA Awards. The accolade means that Keystone has been formally recognised as an employer that looks after and develops its administration and secretarial staff.

Keystone has created a caring, family environment as the backdrop for its PA support policies. These include the '101 ways to say thank you' programme, which rewards employees with anything from a home-baked cake, to vouchers or a day out. PAs can also take advantage of a range of benefits. Keystone even pays 50% of the fees for non-work related courses, which can be in anything from yoga to mountain climbing.

Mandy Cowlishaw, PA to Paul Pegg, Vice President of Keystone - Distribution Europe nominated her company for the award. Mandy says: "I never feel that work is just about doing a job and going home. Despite being a business that employs over 800 people Keystone has a highly supportive atmosphere. So much so, that there are even some people who have been with the company for 30 years.

"Each PA is treated like an individual. There is also a host of support policies in place to ensure that we're able to thrive professionally and have a great work-life balance. I love working here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Paul Pegg says: "Being recognised as one of the UK's best employers for PAs demonstrates that we consider secretaries and administration support staff to be an integral part of our workforce. Our organisational efficiency, customer service teamwork and company spirit is supported and enhanced by this valuable team."
