Designed to host up to 40 visitors at a time, the facility features a dedicated presentation space alongside interactive ‘solution zones’
Intralogistics giant Linde Material Handling has opened the doors to a new state-of-the-art demonstration hub in Basingstoke.
The 600m² Experience Centre has been purpose-built to give customers and partners a hands-on look at the company’s equipment and integrated warehouse systems.
Designed to host up to 40 visitors at a time, the facility features a dedicated presentation space alongside interactive ‘solution zones’. These areas allow guests to see Linde’s trucks, safety systems and technologies operating in realistic warehouse scenarios.
Safety innovation is a major focus of the new centre.
Live demonstrations include the firm’s Reverse Assist Radar, advanced camera systems and Linde Safety Guard, described as “an intelligent early warning system” that monitors and alerts operators to potential hazards, including collision risks.
Visitors can also test the latest generation of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, as the company continues to invest in expanding and refining its product range.
Sustainability has been built into the concept of the centre, with displays highlighting Linde’s growing portfolio of energy-efficient machines and lower-emission solutions aimed at helping operators cut carbon and improve environmental performance.
Rob Phillips, demo centre manager at Linde Material Handling, said the launch marked a significant milestone for the business in the UK.
“The opening of our new Experience Centre is an important moment for Linde Material Handling in the UK,” he said.
“We’ve been based in Basingstoke for almost 80 years, and this investment strengthens those roots while creating something genuinely valuable for our customers.”
Mr Phillips added that businesses were facing mounting operational demands. “Every operation is different, and the pressures around safety, efficiency and sustainability are only growing,” he said.
“The centre gives businesses the opportunity to see our solutions in action, ask questions and explore how they can make a difference for their own operations.”
The Linde Experience Centre is now open for scheduled visits, demonstrations and customer events.
