Lift truck company Samuk expands its UK presence with addition of MacBrown fork truck services

MacBrown Fork Truck Services was established almost 25 years ago and, from its extensive premises at Ossett in West Yorkshire, the company provides a comprehensive sales, support and parts service to hundreds of customers throughout the Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale area. These customers are involved in many different industries including storage and distribution, manufacturing, engineering and recycling.

Located just minutes from the M62/M1 crossroads, MacBrown maintains its own team of fully trained and equipped mobile engineers offering a same-day service. The company also offers casual and long-term hire of trucks plus on-site demonstrations utilising its Samuk fleet of 1.5, 1.8 and 2.8 tonne capacity diesel and LP gas powered models.

Commenting on MacBrown's decision to join the Samuk dealer network, Richard Stark, Sales Manager, says, "We were keen to take on the dealership because Samuk produces a good range of quality products at competitive prices. From the smallest i.c. and electric warehouse models right up to the 25 tonne diesel units - with more to come - the range offers the same uncomplicated, reliable specification. As well as good stock availability, we can rely on top support from the Samuk office team and the excellent parts department in Peterborough, managed by Keith Wilcox, Parts Director, who is an engineer and identifies quality European components. All this means we are confident about making a significant investment ourselves to support our entry into the Samuk dealer network."

Designed in line with Samuk's KISS (Keep It Simple Specification) philosophy, the range of reliable, affordable lift trucks now available to MacBrown is made at the biggest new Chinese factory of Samuk's manufacturing partner Hangcha. Following a substantial investment of $147 million, the ultra-modern factory is capable of producing 80,000 trucks a year. A 34% extension is scheduled to open mid June 2012 to ensure increased capacity to avoid long delivery delays as the boom increases.

Samuk trucks are known for their uncomplicated, laptop-free servicing of trucks up to 12 tonnes at 600mm load centre. Designed to be easily serviced by competent mechanical engineers, Samuk's range combines simple basic design with advanced engines providing lower noise and vibration levels and reduced emissions to suit eight hour health and safety operator shifts.

"We're delighted to welcome MacBrown Fork Truck Services to the Samuk dealer team," says Nigel Martin, Samuk's Managing Director. "It's a successful, established firm which is clearly committed to making its relationship with Samuk as successful as possible."
