Liberty Global Inc. (LGI), appoints Norbert Dentressangle to manage its warehousing and distribution activities across Europe

Leading international cable company, Liberty Global Inc. (LGI), has appointed Norbert Dentressangle to manage its warehousing and distribution activities across Europe.

The new agreement builds on the success of the existing partnership between Norbert Dentressangle and UPC, LGI's European division, in the Netherlands.

As part of LGI's move to a more centralised European logistics operation, Norbert Dentressangle will establish a European Distribution Centre in Venray in the Netherlands, along with a number of regional distribution centres, the first of which, in Switzerland, went live on 24 September 2012.

By appointing Norbert Dentressangle as its pan-European logistics partner, LGI will benefit from consistent operations and service levels throughout Europe, with the flexibility to adapt to local needs as required.

Anita Arts, Vice President Global Supply Chain Management, Liberty Global said: "Norbert Dentressangle has proven to be a strong and reliable partner for our UPC operations in the Netherlands and I am confident and trust the full commitment of the Norbert Dentressangle management. I look forward to more successful European implementations and future innovations with Norbert Dentressangle."

With consumer brands including UPC, UnityMedia, Kabel BW, Telenet, VTR and Liberty, LGI is a market leader in cable television, broadband internet and telephony services throughout Europe and South-America. LGI serves an estimate of 20 million consumers in 13 different countries.
