Tachosys turns the digital tachograph into a vital source of information
Stand 5G01
Real-time driver information will be the main focus of the Tachosys stand at this yearâs Show, as the company promotes its latest tachograph data download tools.
For most operators and drivers the Tachograph is seen as a costly legal requirement, but Tachosys, with its leading hardware design, has been able to help operators save time and efficiently centralise their tachograph data.
Since 2012, companies that have adopted Tachosysâ remote download solution (digiDL) have enjoyed completely unattended Tachograph downloads and saved hundreds of man hours as a result.
Now Tachosys has expanded the role of digiDL to include real-time driver information. The digiDL supports both Driver Decision Support (DDS) and Counter, similar technologies from the two key Tachograph manufacturers, Stoneridge and Continental. The data allows companies to see their current driver status in relation to the Driversâ Hours Law. This assists with planning, as loads can be assigned to drivers with sufficient hours to fulfil them.
Tachosys will use the CV Show as a platform to launch the next generation digivu and digifobpro download tools, both of which have already achieved success in the UK and Europe.
Tachosys will also show the capabilities of the advanced digiDL models (digiDL-E and EX). The companyâs fully operational scale model MAN Truck will output GPS, FMS, Bluetooth, analogue and digital inputs in real time.
CV Show debut for new Clarks welfare conversion
Stand 5D85
Clarks Vehicle Conversions will show its new drive-away welfare conversion along with a van fitted out with modular racking at this yearâs Show.
The converter launched the new drive-away welfare van in February for customers who want an off-the-peg messing conversion for under ÂŁ10,000. In most cases, the conversion will be available to drive-away within a week, fully loaded with standard messing facilities, a toilet and a wide range of accessories.
The type-approved welfare conversion is not only cheaper than its predecessor but it is also 150kg lighter thanks to a newly designed layout by Clarksâ engineers. For ÂŁ9,999, the vehicle comes with a host of essential accessories including health and safety must-haves like a first aid kit, eye wash station, side camera and Chapter 8 livery.
Clarks is well known for its welfare conversions but the company, which is celebrating its 30th year in business, also offers racking, crew carriers and bespoke conversions.
This is the first time that Clarks has exhibited two vehicles at the CV Show, showing both their welfare conversion and their racking product. A Vauxhall Combo on the stand will be fitted out with Clarksâ modular racking, including two new product lines: lightweight plastic service cases and tilt boxes.
Air-Seal promotes tyre safety
Stand 4D21
Air-Seal Products is using the CV Show to warn operators of the dangers and costs of under-inflated tyres in its role as a member of TyreSafe, the worldâs leading tyre safety campaign group.
A decade ago, tyre sealants were normally only used by fleets that were exposed to hazardous environments, such as landfills and construction sites. Sealants were used to seal and prevent punctures, and that was it. Very few intermediate and long haul fleets had significant problems with puncture-related deflations, so tended not to use sealant products.
But with fuel and tyre prices on the rise in recent years, the business landscape has changed. Tyre manufacturers have proven the impact of under-inflation on fuel economy and tyre life, meaning that sophisticated fleet managers have sought new means of improving the average fuel economy of their fleets.
A built-in sealant such as Air-Seal, which prevents punctures and under-inflation, is an ideal way of keeping costs in check.
The company has been selling its range of quality tyre sealants around the world for over 14 years in over 31 different countries, to many high profile customers including the United Nations Forces, NATO and Royal Mail, to which it is proud to be an exclusive supplier.
Market leading diagnostics from Eclipse
Stand 4B10
Eclipse Automotive Technology will exhibit its latest full range of Jaltest and EDIS diagnostic products.
As the largest supplier of multi-brand diagnostic products in the commercial aftermarket, Eclipse is well known for its innovative Testpad Extreme PC which, together with the powerful Jaltest software and flexible vehicle interface, built around the Link module, is becoming the first choice for many of the countryâs top workshops.
With over 4,500 error codes on a Euro-6 engine, these workshops value the ability to quickly identify and resolve a vehicle problem by fast and accurate interpretation.
The software is updated several times a year, keeping users up to date with vehicle developments and ensuring they are able to work with the latest models and new features. A dedicated team is on hand to talk them through any difficult issues and help resolve problems.
Visitors to the stand will be able to hear why workshops of all sizes are adopting these products to improve their workshop efficiency. The new Jaltest ETM Module Tester will also be in action, examining EBS (Electronic Braking System) modules.
This multi-brand feature goes through all the diagnostic values of a vehicle component, indicating âpassâ or âfailâ to show component viability and is a fast and simple way of validating an expensive module and avoiding unnecessary replacement.
Rhino Products launches Kammbar
Stand 5G100
Leading commercial vehicle accessory supplier Rhino Products is using the 2015 CV Show to launch its new all-aluminium roof bar system, the KammBar.
Using the latest technologies in design and production, Rhinoâs KammBar is the most aerodynamic bar the company has manufactured to date.
Rhino has also developed an aerodynamic load stop to work in conjunction with the Kammbar, helping drivers cut the cleanest possible profile through the air and reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency.
The KammBar is made from anodised aluminium and coated with an anti-corrosive finish to provide fleet and small enterprise customers complete peace of mind. The new bars can be fitted with the complete range of Rhino accessories including a precise fitting rear roller system.
KammBar has been independently crash tested to 20G and is TUV accredited.

HELLA returns to CV Show with new innovations
Stand 4H90
After a break of several years, HELLA is celebrating its return to the CV Show in style.
Visitors to the HELLA stand, in the heart of the Workshop section of the show, will see a line-up of HELLAâs latest developments in lighting, electrics, electronics and thermal management. With a show theme of âQuality, innovation and value, deliveredâ, products from each category will be on display.
The range of products underscores HELLAâs market position as more than a lighting specialist, something which Managing Director, Darren Robinson, believes will be apparent to visitors to the stand.
âWe have a very strong and diverse commercial vehicle product range,â he said. âThe CV Show gives us a platform to show these products and, in doing so, make further progress in shifting perceptions of HELLA being just a lighting supplier.â
Those keen to know whatâs new in lighting, however, will be able to see HELLAâs high-performance LED work lights on display, alongside its VALUEFIT economy line and see demonstrations of a new trailer lighting system.
Visitors will also be able to try out the latest digital technologies from HELLA including the online âELIVERâ tool, which demonstrates the different beam patterns and light output across HELLAâs range of work lights, and the âKnow-How Toolâ â an online technical information portal.
ATS Euromaster marks 50th birthday with Little Gold Book
Stand 4D10
Tyre and vehicle maintenance specialist ATS Euromaster will celebrate its 50th anniversary with the launch at the CV Show of a guidebook for fleet managers, summarising its five decades of industry expertise.
Dubbed the Little Gold Book, it will be packed full of essential need-to-know information to help van and truck fleet operators target improvements in cost control, uptime and productivity. The booklet will be available free of charge from ATS Euromasterâs stand, along with celebratory 50th birthday cupcakes.
ATS Euromaster has increased the size of its stand by a quarter this year to mark its golden anniversary and is keen to celebrate with its customers.
Group Sales Director Peter Fairlie says the additional investment in the Show is a combination of celebrating the firmâs achievements since 1965, and rising confidence in the market. He says, âHaving a major presence at the industryâs biggest annual event makes it easy for companies to do business with us. Weâre always hugely encouraged by the opportunities the Show presents.
âItâs a chance to have strategic-level conversations with our customers and encourage them to think carefully, and sometimes differently, about how they look after their vehicles and tyres.â
DKV Euro Service - the answer to Belgian road tolls?
Stand 4F90
As a leading service provider to the pan-European transport and logistics industry, DKV Euro Service will be using the CV Show to draw attention to the introduction of Belgian road tolls, which come into force next year.
DKV is already well known for its fuel card services in the United Kingdom, as well as mainland Europe.
The new Belgian satellite-controlled toll system is intended for trucks over 3.5-tonnes MGW and will introduce a distance-based system, which replaces the time-based system of the current Eurovignette. The most likely options for haulage firms are pre-pay and post-pay settlement. DKV Euro Service intends to integrate both of these into its existing large service portfolio.
One of the big advantages of an automated toll system is the possibility to use an On Board Unit (OBU). With an OBU, transport companies can save time and money, both on the road and in administration. The Belgian toll system is likely to use an OBU for automated payments, and these payments will be handled by DKV Euro Service.

SDC will also feature an exciting piece of British engineering on its stand in the form of the Bloodhound supersonic car, with the opportunity for visitors to sit in the driving seat of the rocket-powered vehicle.
Doyles takes the weight off operator costs
Stand 5H90
Commercial body builder Doyles will show its flagship lightweight Aduro van body at the Show.
Like other models in its range, the body is made from a recyclable, composite material that helps deliver an unrivalled payload in the 3.5-tonne sector.
The 20m3 body has an unladen payload of 1,550kg, which is over half a ton lighter than a traditional Luton van, maximising profits for businesses on every load by keeping weight to a minimum, helping reach an average fuel consumption of 32.7mpg.
In addition to the Aduro, the 26m3 Magnus body replaces the need for 7.5-tonne vehicles and the vast operational cost behind these, such as the need for O-Licences and regular inspections. Both bodies are manufactured on Platform cabs and have a step height of 450mm and a loading height of 600mm, reducing the risk associated with falling from working heights.
The new Cubus range, also on show, fits traditional high-floor chassis cabs, but delivers unrivalled payloads and come in a range of dimensions. With a new Aduro XL coming off the production line later in 2015, 30m3 capacity with a payload of 2,200kg will soon be a reality.
All bodies including tippers, dropsides and bespoke conversions are available on a range of manufacturer options such as Peugeot, Mercedes and Vauxhall, and are manufactured to full European type approval standards.
Coolertech adds chill to the Cool Pavilion
Stand 3D130
Temperature-controlled vehicle specialist Coolertech will exhibit a range of insulated vehicles on its stand in the Showâs Cool Pavilion.
An impressive 7.5-tonne Fuso Canter is the largest of the vehicles on display. The truck features a dual compartment box body, designed to carry a combination of frozen and chilled goods. The rear compartment is closed off with an insulated roller shutter door, while a tail-lift aids the loading and unloading of roll cages used to carry temperature-sensitive goods.
Coolertech is also showing its 3.5-tonne home shopping vehicle from its AiroSprint range. The AiroSprint design combines the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis cab with a narrower, more streamlined insulated box body, complete with lightweight body styling kit.
Insulated vans are given equal billing on the stand and are represented by a Mercedes-Benz Citan single compartment chilled conversion and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter MWB multi-temperature van. Both are leading examples of Coolertechâs extensive range of van conversions. The vans feature some of the standard and optional build items which are available from Coolertech, such as a low temperature side door which offers both pallet and personal access whilst still allowing the door to give a full wrap-around opening.
The vehicles have been European type approved and are designed and manufactured at Coolertechâs UK factory. In addition, they come with a 10-year construction warranty â something the company offers as standard across its entire range of new insulated products.
Novadata serves up compliance for licence operators
Stand 5D01
With expert transport training, specialist products and skilled tachograph analysis, Novadata will provide three vital areas of compliance for transport managers and Licence Operators at this yearâs Show.
From Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Training and Driver CPC, to tachograph accessories and vehicle defect report books, tachograph training and outsourced tachograph analysis, Novadata offers a one-stop shop for industry compliance.
âThese key services help operators to safeguard their O-Licence or Restricted Operator Licence, which in turn protects their businesses,â explained Novadata Chairman, Derek Broomfield. âKnowing what you need to do to protect your O-Licence is essential, so we will also be giving away plenty of advice for free.â
For drivers who are new to the industry, Novadata is one of the few UK companies to offer five day Driver CPC courses, which fast track drivers on the way to their Driver Qualification Card (DQC). It also boasts a higher than average success rate for transport managers training for their Management CPC qualification.
Novadata is particularly keen to help those with a Restricted Operator Licence, as they have all the same responsibilities but with less training and knowledge. âRestricted Operator Licence owners really should take the opportunity to talk to experts at the CV Show to make sure they are fulfilling their O Licence obligations,â said Broomfield. âLegislation is increasingly complex and not everyone is clear about what they need to do to comply.â
