Verwood based MANITOU UK Limited entered a team of lady drivers, the 'MANITOU Babes' who raised the magnificent sum of £3,404.00 for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity with generous sponsorships from MANITOU staff, dealers and suppliers. Thanks must also go to MANITOU UK Limited's Tony Hobbs and Geoff Dutton who instructed the lady participants in driving the MANITOU forklifts.
A wonderful afternoon was had driving a wide variety of vehicles including articulated lorries, fire engines, police cars, double-decker buses and of course the MANITOU machines, not forgetting the WW2 vehicles and the 4x4's through 4 foot deep muddy water!
The charity initiative by MANITOU UK Limited will have made a real difference to a lot of people, well done the 'MANITOU Babes'.
