Kale Logistics Solutions to work with World Bank to conduct Logistic Performance Index Survey 2013/14 in India

The two entities have come together to ensure maximum participation for World Bank's Logistics Performance Index, published every two years. The survey will be distributed electronically to the Indian Logistics Service providers by Kale.

Mumbai, November 14, 2013: Kale Logistics Solutions will work with the World Bank to conduct this benchmark study for the India segment. The Global Logistics Performance Index would reflect the opinion of the Logistics industry across the world.

The Logistics Performance Index-LPI is the benchmark study that the World Bank publishes every two years. By partnering Kale Logistics, the World Bank seeks the views of many freight forwarders from India who are playing significant role in the Indian Logistics Industry. The survey responses will help generate the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) 2014, a dataset closely monitored by policy makers and professionals worldwide.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Amar More, SVP, Kale Logistics Solutions said, ". We are excited to partner the World Bank in facilitating the participation of the Indian Freight Forwarding Community for the Logistics Performance Index. This survey will be deployed through India's first multi-modal cargo community platform developed by Kale Logistics Solutions. We are hopeful of a deeper and long lasting relationship with the World Bank."

Logistics Performance Index will be based on a worldwide survey of global logistics operators that allows the participants to express their professional views on several logistics dimensions: transportation, infrastructure, clearance procedures.

Participant response will help generate an informed set of logistics performance indices, the LPI 2014. The survey closes by November 26 2013.
