ITN PRODUCTIONS AND CILT PRESENT STRONGER TOGETHER
Following the success of āDriving the Futureā, CILT and ITN Productions are producing a current affairs-style programme demonstrating the importance of collaboration between both individuals and businesses operating within the profession, and how this collaboration is vital to drive the sector forwards.
CILT supports nine sectors including those operating on land, sea and in the air. Together they stimulate innovation in logistics and transport, which in turn propels the wider economy. āStronger Togetherā will explore the people, leaders and companies across all sectors of logistics and transport and concentrate on those who are championing collaboration.
Although more than 2.7 million people work in the logistics and transport professions, many who donāt work within the sector are unaware of the vast range of rewarding and exciting life-long careers it has to offer. CILT and ITN Productions are looking for organisations and individuals with a story to tell to feature on this short film.
The programme will showcase how those with experience can work alongside and support emerging talent looking to join this exciting profession. āStronger Togetherā will challenge the misperceptions of careers in logistics and transport, demonstrating that these are vital roles that are exciting, dynamic and rewarding.
The news-style piece will be anchored by national newsreader Matt Barbet to combine key interviews and reports with sponsored editorial profiles from leading organisations.
āStronger Togetherā will premiere at the CILTās Annual Conference and Dinner at the Chesford Grange Hotel on 14th June 2018. The conference is a major event in the transport and logistics profession, bringing together more than 300 of the professionsā business leaders, champions and innovators.
Kevin Richardson, Chief Executive, CILT said: āCILT delivers the networks, knowledge and knowhow for individual and corporate success. The āStronger Togetherā film will demonstrate how CILT is leading the way in promoting inclusivity, championing diversity of thought and welcoming challenge ā all necessary to generate the innovation needed in logistic and transport that the nation both demands and deserves.ā
Simon Shelley, Head of Industry News, ITN Productions, said: āWeāre delighted to be partnering with CILT to produce a programme exploring the collaboration that is needed to drive this vital sector forward. We hope the content can be used to exchange ideas, celebrate success stories and engage members and the wider audienceā.
