The big news from Isuzu Truck is that its new Euro VI âForwardâ F120.240, 12.00 tonne GVW, is going to be on display at this yearâs RWM. The particular vehicle being exhibited will be the first of Isuzuâs recently launched 12t rigid chassis to feature a refuse collection body. The second Isuzu vehicle on the stand will be one of the popular Isuzu âUrbanâ N75.150 rigids, with this vehicle featuring a RCV body and bar lift.
Announcing details of its vehicle display at RWM 2015, Keith Child, marketing director at Isuzu Truck said; âThe 2015 range of Isuzu trucks are proving to be extremely popular within the refuse and waste management sector because they provide extremely good value for money as well as the flexibility needed to optimise vehicle load and specification. All our vehicles are recognised for their high payload capabilities, because of their lightweight chassis and advanced engineering, which is linked to strong performance and proven reliability.â

With a compact overall footprint as well as class-leading carrying capacity, the latest Isuzu 12t 4x2 rigid has a low chassis height and offers great versatility. Making its first ever appearance at RWM, the 12t Isuzu on display has a 3790mm wheelbase and Isuzuâs popular âEasyshiftâ automated transmission as standard. The truck at the show will be in the distinctive green livery of Isuzuâs customer, WM Briers & Sons.
The âForwardâ F120.240(E) chassis features a Garwood 8mÂł Powapact single compaction refuse body, complete with heavy-duty trade lift and VWS tradeweigh calibrated load cells, as well as a work box mounted behind the cab for the collection of fluorescent tubes.

Isuzu Euro VI âUrbanâ N75.150(E) 7.5 tonne
Initially launched 18 months ago, the Isuzu âUrbanâ 7.5t 4 x 2 chassis has proved to be a winner offering industry-leading payload and impressive fuel economy from its turbocharged and intercooled, four-cylinder 3.0 litre, 150PS diesel engine. The âUrbanâ 7.5t vehicle on the Isuzu stand also features Isuzuâs âEasyshiftâ automated transmission and the chassis has been modified to a reduced 2900mm wheelbase. The Isuzu N75.150(E) chassis is fitted with a 5.1 mÂł NTM K Series RCV body and bar lift, and after the show it will join other existing Isuzu vehicles in the M6 Vehicle Hire Ltd fleet, based in Birmingham.
âFlexibility is the key to the success of the current Isuzu truck range. The chassis are ideally suited to multi-purpose operations and the compact overall footprint allows the vehicles to operate in a cross-section of locations, from narrow rural country lanes through to congested urban streets and highways. For complete peace of mind, all of our vehicles come with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty and are fully supported by our unique, award-winning customer âCAREâ service programme,â added Keith Child.
