Increase in demand for operator training solutions

UK-based agent’s provides bespoke courses for corrugated, print finishing, carton and converting sectors

Key Capital Equipment(KCE)is

reporting a significant increase in demand for its bespoke operator training solutions. An impressive 75 per cent of customers purchasing new kit also invest in the UK-based agent’s tailor-made packages – designed to complement the wide range of equipment it supplies to mainly blue chip companies in the corrugated, print finishing, carton, and converting sectors.

Once a training requirement has been identified, a KCE representative visits the customer’s plant on a fact-finding mission where they conduct a full on-site assessment, before developing a comprehensive programme pitched to suit the skills and experience of the personnel involved.

John Twigg, Training Director at KCE, comments: “I’m delighted at the enthusiastic response to our operator training solutions. It reiterates that, with today’s commercial pressures, a majority of customers simply haven’t the time or internal resources to provide employees on each shift with detailed training.

He continues: “ All our consultants have technical and/or engineering experience, are good communicators, extremely approachable and committed to reducing downtime,

and adding value. As a result, we’ve received some really positive feedback from

course participants, with many feeling more motivated, confident and valued as a result.”

Training is provided at the customer’s facility with the length of each course determined by the number of candidates, their abilities, shift patterns, the production environment, machine make and model, and the complexity and style of the packs/materials it handles.

KCE develops training solutions for personnel operating a variety of equipment; in particular, folder/gluers, laminators, palletisers, pre-feeders, stackers, stitchers, case packers and ink jet presses.
