iForce, the UK's leading multi-channel logistics specialist, has been awarded the prestigious contract to supply an efulfilment service for House of Fraser's first UK transactional web site, which heralds a significant new development in the online retail sector.
House of Fraser's online retail service went live on 13th September 2007 to offer internet shoppers hundreds of brands and over 15,000 products across Menswear, Womenwear, Fashion Accessories, Homeware, Beauty and Food Gifts sold by the leading high street department chain. The 18-month contract will see iForce providing the efulfilment for this exciting new service from its East Molesey centre in Surrey. With iForce's ability to scale its operations and its expertise in fulfilling orders for 'blue chip' retail brands while maintaining high service standards, the specialist logistics company will facilitate the rapid growth anticipated for this online business.
iForce has a long established and successful relationship with House of Fraser having managed the electrical returns for all of the retail chain's stores since July 2004. Last year the relationship developed further when iForce commenced integrating House of Fraser's hampers and gifts fulfilment operation at its fulfilment centre in East Molesey.
Colin Porter, Commercial Director of House of Fraser, commented:
"We chose iForce as our partner for fulfilment for our new web-store due to their depth of experience, supported by good systems and true understanding of the importance of the customer experience which were all critical to ensure that we had a smooth launch whilst building our brand."
Mark Hewitt, iForce's CEO added:
"By successfully employing our reverse logistics expertise to manage electrical returns and more recently fulfilling orders for hampers and gifts iForce has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with House of Fraser. We look forward to extending this success to the fulfilment of orders from the exciting new transactional web site by working in close partnership with House of Fraser to ensure the online retail business achieves its anticipated growth yet maintains the high service levels that the customers of this highly respected department store chain have come to expect."
