Hyster, one of the world's leading suppliers of materials handling equipment, is pleased to announce the availability of its latest high-stacking Empty Container Handlers, the H16.00-22.00XM-12 EC series. The series consists of four models and, while building on the market reputation achieved by its successful predecessor, the H16.00-18.00XM-12EC, offers impressive additional value.
THE VISTA CAB
The H16.00-22.00XM-12 EC features the proven Hyster "Vista" cab, which offers an outstanding range of standard features, designed to achieve maximum productivity in each shift.
The focus is on driver comfort, ergonomics and excellent visibility: For example, an air-suspension seat and air-conditioning are featured as standard. The dash display is positioned to the driver's right-hand side, to avoid unnecessary distraction from the operation in hand, and maximise forward visibility. In addition, a newly designed joystick offers the driver intuitive control of lift, tilt and spreader functions and the cab has a comfortably low noise level: 72 dB(A) driver's ear BITA equivalent. The cab also features a powered tilt facility, which allows for excellent service access.
OUTSTANDING ALL-ROUND VISIBILITY
The operator compartment is situated in a high position at the rear of the truck, to maximise visibility during stacking operations. This position allows the driver a wide-angle view of the container and ensures precision stacking manoeuvres. The sturdy mast, with its uniquely rear-mounted lift cylinders, adds to the excellent visibility. Indicator lights are on fitted on the spreader and in the cab roof, to assist the operator during stacking and engagement.
CONTAINER ENGAGEMENT
The H16.00-22.00XM-12 EC series offers a choice of four "container engagement" systems for handling single containers and double containers, in order to best meet the customers' needs. Suspended Hooks, Hooks and Side Clamps and Single or Double Vertical Twistlock systems are available.
A "Powered Pile Slope" (PPS) feature is available as an option. This provides hydraulically operated sideways articulation of the spreader of +/- 6 degrees (in addition to the standard mechanical articulation of +/- 4 degrees) to further facilitate easy positioning and engagement of the spreader on the containers.
7-HIGH STACKING
For added stability in 7-high (18.8 m) stacking operations, the H18.00-22.00XM-12EC models feature a longer wheelbase at 4.5 m, over the standard 4.0m.
MINIMISED COST OF OPERATIONS
The H16.00-22.00XM-12EC offers a number of standard features to help the customer to effectively manage truck operating costs.
The models benefit from an exceptionally durable driveline, with a robust drive axle and advanced auto-shift transmission system. The clean running engine incorporates an engine protection system with shutdown function. Large 14.00*24 tyres (available as Bias pneumatics, Radial pneumatic or Solids) offer improved tyre life and lower running costs.
CLEANER POWER & PERFORMANCE
The Cummins QSB6 6.7 litre turbo-charged, charge-cooled industrial diesel engine conforms to the EC Tier 3 emissions standards for Non-Road Mobile Machinery, thanks to the low exhaust emissions of this modern diesel engine.
Two engine performance levels are available for excellent productivity and optimal fuel economy: For single container handing, a 142kW @ 2050rpm is available or for double container handling, a 172kW @ 1800rpm is offered.
