After shipping thousands of garments for the UK high street from Hong Kong, Turkey and China for clothing brand Voi Jeans last year, global logistics operator, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK, has been awarded the airfreight contract for all imports to coincide with the launch of the brand's new range this month.
. The majority of shipments fly out of Hong Kong
. Hellmann then ships the garments to its air and seafreight office in Manchester, ready to be distributed to Voi Jeans' warehousing facilities
. Voi jeans is owned by Rhodi Plc and lists high street retailer, Bank, as one of its biggest customers
. Other customers include Littlewoods, Footasylum, Scotts and ASOS
. Hellmann is predicting a similar level of activity for 2011 but also has the addition of airfreight from India
. It will be moving shipments from the Far East and Turkey on direct flights where possible
. Its space agreements with some of the biggest airlines, including Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Emirates, will be utilised.
Yahya Patel, Voi Jeans' Supply Chain Manager, said:
The Voi brand has grown over its 22 year history from solely jeanswear, to today designing and manufacturing a whole range of accessories and other clothing for men and women to sustain brand loyalty. We're a family run business and have been working with Hellmann for the last three years. As an independent family run organisation itself, Hellmann understands our values. Shipments always arrive safely and on time which meant continuing to use its services for the new range launch was a natural decision.
Matthew Marriott, Commercial Director at Hellmann UK, said:
Voi Jeans is a highly respected customer and one whom we have come to have a close relationship with. Watching its brand grow and being able to assist in supporting this, is a great achievement. 2011 figures should be similar, if not slightly higher than 2010's, seeing thousands of garments shipped from Hong Kong, Turkey, China and India to the UK.
