Hard-hitting Mentor safety video named FLTA Awards Finalist

A hard-hitting video from Mentor Training that powerfully communicates the real consequences of a typical fork lift truck accident has been named a FLTA Awards Finalist in its Annual Awards for Excellence.

Designed to evoke a visceral response, Could You Live With That? targets the behaviour at the root of bad practice among operators and their colleagues: empowering all staff to take responsibility for site safety.

Unique in that it targets both fork lift truck drivers and the staff working alongside them, the compelling five-minute video was developed to raise awareness and limit the risk of forklift accidents, and was recently previewed in support of the FLTA’s annual safety month campaign, Safetember.

Content is especially relevant to pedestrians who are often omitted from forklift safety training, despite being most at risk, making up 57% of those injured in accidents involving forklift trucks.

The FLTA Awards for Excellence recognise the companies and individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to raising standards within the industry. The Safety Award celebrates the product or service that is reducing the risk of accidents in the workplace.
