GGR launches Royal Wedding celebration mini crane

Mini crane and lifting solutions specialist GGR Group have launched a limited edition mini crane in celebration of this month's Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The union-jack painted crane was developed especially for use during the royal occasion after GGR was approached to assist with lifting operations during the event. The compact Unic 245 spider crane will be used to install crowd control barriers and audio-visual displays around Westminster Abbey on the week leading up to the big day.

GGR Group's CEO Graeme Riley comments: "We've received massive interest for this special edition Royal Wedding crane, surprisingly from a number of overseas customers too. We are thrilled to be contributing to William & Kate's big day".

The limited edition Unic 245 mini crane is only 600mm wide and was an ideal solution to work around the restricted space of the busy area of Westminster. The crane features flexible outriggers that can enable the machine to lift on uneven surfaces such as the grass, paving and stepped access areas around Westminster. The machine provides a safe working load of 2.4 tonnes and the special edition paintwork is all-weather proof.
