Geodis UK, one of the country's leading logistics and distribution
companies, has enhanced its daily service to the Netherlands and now
offers a 48 hour door to door service for all groupage customers from its depots at High Wycombe, Rugby, Laindon in Essex and Magna Park in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. The new route will run alongside the existing 24 hour part-load service that Geodis currently provides to the region.
The company has also commenced a new regular service to Vilvoorde in Belgium, as well as beginning distribution from its facility in
Warrington to Dublin three times a week in conjunction with its sister company, Geodis Ireland. The company predicts that bringing its Irish operation in-house will lead to an improved level of customer focus.
"We are striving, continually, to provide our customers with the levels of service and products that they need to operate their businesses efficiently," said Jamie Cuthbert, managing director of Geodis UK. "We provide a total solution, covering every aspect of the supply chain and will continue to look for ways to improve the service that we deliver.
"The introduction of these new routes, combined with the recent
extension of our Eurofirst groupage service into eastern Europe, highlights the strength of the offering we are providing to our European customer base. By continuing to expand the business incrementally, we are setting the foundation for continued growth and improvement well into the future."
