The new Düsseldorf facility will showcase AI-powered warehouse robotics and logistics software
Geekplus has opened its first European Innovation Lab in Düsseldorf, giving logistics operators a new testing ground for AI-powered warehouse robotics.
The facility opened on 16 September and is intended to let customers and partners see, test and assess automation systems in a working environment.
More than 150 industry figures attended the launch, including representatives from GXO, DSV and LPP Logistics.
Josef Hinkel, First Deputy Mayor of Düsseldorf, also attended the opening.
He said: “Düsseldorf stands for openness, international collaboration and forward-looking technologies. As a city, we are committed to creating the right conditions for a thriving international innovation ecosystem.”
“We are delighted that Geekplus has chosen Düsseldorf for its new innovation Lab and is now contributing to this vibrant network.”
The new centre is designed to support European customers as they assess how AI-led robotics could be used in warehouse operations.
Geekplus said the site will also demonstrate Gravity, its unified embodied AI framework, which is designed to support longer and more complex physical tasks.
The company said the lab will help businesses explore how newer AI capabilities can be applied to real warehouse environments and operational decision-making.
Hong Yu, Head of EMEA at Geekplus Europe, said the opening represented an important step in bringing warehouse automation technology closer to European customers.
“Opening the Geekplus Innovation Centre in Düsseldorf marks a defining step in bringing AI-driven warehouse robotics closer to the European customers who will shape the next era.”
“This centre helps organisations see the full ecosystem in action, from person-to-automation workflows to humanoid and logistics software, so they can move from interest to confident adoption, together.”
The Düsseldorf site brings a range of robotic and software systems together in one location.
Visitors can see demonstrations including Pallet-To-Person, Tote-To-Person and Shelf-to-Person systems, alongside humanoid robotics and logistics software.
Technology on display includes the Gino 1 humanoid robot, RoboShuttle Hyper and an integrated Robot Arm Picking Station.
The facility will also feature Geekplus Brain software and will be used to test future solutions.
Geekplus said the centre is intended to give customers a clearer view of how robotics, automation workflows and logistics software can work together in warehouse environments.
The company plans to host customer visits every month, alongside dedicated industry days.
It expects more than 1,000 visitors a year as the facility develops into a long-term European platform for robotics demonstrations, education and customer engagement.
Rinus Geurts, Sales Director for Western Europe at Geekplus, said customers wanted to see measurable operational benefits before committing to wider deployment.
“At Geekplus, our European customers don’t need more promises; they need clarity, confidence and measurable outcomes.”
“The Geekplus Innovation Lab gives sales and operations teams a place to validate AI-driven robotics end-to-end, understand how agentic capabilities translate into real warehouse performance, and move faster from evaluation to rollout across Western Europe.”
Anera, CMC Packaging Automation and KEMARO were named as the main sponsors of the launch event.
