Kidderminster based Fransen Transport, which specialises in temperature-controlled road transport, joined the membership of Coolload's on-line freight exchange system two years ago and has enjoyed a specialised and personal service ever since. Not only has this service expanded Fransen's contacts within the industry but it has also increased their vehicle usage.
Fransen Transport, which has a fleet of 12 refrigerated vehicles, transports foodstuffs, chemicals and pharmaceuticals within Western Europe and the former Eastern Bloc. Multi-temperature distribution and storage facilities allow them to provide a first class service for their customers.
"We started using Coolload as an experiment" says Henk Buzink, MD, "and found it to be an efficient and personal service. We swapped to Coolload because their service, in comparison to one we had previously used, is far more user-friendly and of course, this service is specialised to the refrigerated sector."
Buzink continues,
"We felt the benefits of joining Coolload immediately. Our contacts within the industry continue to build and we get jobs from Coolload that we wouldn't otherwise have known about, for example, a recent return load from Greece that we picked up."
Fransen Transport sub-contract a third of their business which is also facilitated by Coolload,
"For our sub-contracted work, the Coolload system means that we do not have to make lots of time consuming phone calls in order to pick up work - the work comes to us in the form of easily understandable e-mails. Coolload is a growing service which offers us a competitive edge in this specialist refrigerated transport field."
