Speed of response from its National Breakdown Service is a key factor behind the success of the Stone Hardy business and to ensure that their service van fleet has maximum uptime, the Northampton-based company has signed a 3-year fixed price FleetSure fleet maintenance contract with Euroway that will run until January 2016.
The Euroway FleetSure contract covers the full fleet of mobile service vans operated by Stone Hardy, which totals 65 Mercedes Sprinter 3.5tonne vehicles, that are all fully equipped as mobile repair workshops.
According to Paul Clark, managing director at Stone Hardy, "This newly signed arrangement with Euroway is a positive move forward for our operation. It enables our management team to focus its priorities on customer service, without having to worry about the maintenance and compliance of the company's service van fleet."
Stone Hardy has worked with Euroway for several years supplying its tail lift servicing and repair support operation to Euroway's contract hire fleet and as Paul Clark says, "The decision to switch our own fleet maintenance programme to Euroway, on a sole supplier basis, reflects the strong working partnership between the two companies. We both have a good understanding of each other's businesses and for us, Euroway's proven levels of service support nationwide for commercial vehicle maintenance was the deciding factor in switching to this fixed price FleetSure contract in January."
Established in 1976, Stone Hardy specialises in the service and repair of tail lifts and shutters for commercial and passenger vehicles, as well as lifting deck trailers up to 10 tonnes. With mobile service engineers operating from locations nationwide, the 65 strong mobile service van fleet has a five-year age profile.
Fixing fleet costs to an affordable and budgetary straight-line basis, whilst maintaining the flexibility of a commercial vehicle fleet, is the cornerstone of the FleetSure fleet management range of services available from Euroway.
On completing the 3-year FleetSure deal with Stone Hardy, Mark Howell, sales and marketing director at Euroway said, "We have a close working relationship with Stone Hardy and fully understand how they operate their service and repair business. The development of our own successful FleetSure programme is an ideal fit for their national breakdown service as we can provide them with the levels of fleet uptime and vehicle availability needed to support their future business plans. In addition, the proven systems and procedures within FleetSure will ensure full compliance of their fleet at all times."
