European logistics provider DSV Road Limited is delighted to announce it has won a second prestigious transport industry award in the space of 12 months.
On Thursday afternoon at a ceremony in London, the company won the British International Freight Association's Staff Development Award.
It scooped the award on the back of the recent launch of training (Sales Academy, Customer Service Academy and International Leadership Programme) and recruitment programmes (Apprentice Scheme and Graduate Scheme) that have contributed to a strong increase in staff retention figures.
The programmes are designed with clients' needs at their heart. They centre on enhancing the customer experience, through improving the DSV Road team's ability to understand what the client needs and how DSV's services can meet those needs.
The award win follows on DSV Road's victory at the Global Freight Awards (GFA) in the Employer of the Year category in November.
René Falch Olesen, Chief Executive Officer, DSV Road Limited, said: "I am very proud that our successful training and recruitment programmes have been recognised by one of the freighting industry's leading trade organisations.
"To have won both the GFA and BIFA Service awards for staff development is a double honour but we won't rest on our laurels and we will continue to develop our staff initiatives into the future."
Chris Malyon, Director of Sales and Marketing, DSV Road Limited, explained why it had decided to develop its training and recruitment programmes.
He said: "We recognise that our staff play an extremely important role in the DSV Road business. Therefore ensuring staff retention by offering training and progression within the company is essential."
